Blue Moon
While there is some debate as to what is considered a "blue moon", this is the second full moon of December. By some definitions this qualifies as a "blue moon". Since it falls on New Years Eve, it is somewhat unusual. The next time this will happen is in 2028.

Omni Hotel, Fort Worth
One of the newer structures on the Fort Worth Skyline is the Omni Hotel near the convention center. The purple lights on the left are part of the "Avenue of Light" sculptures by Cliff Garten. They are located on the center median of Lancaster Avenue.

First Game in Cowboys Stadium
Yes, we were there! Standing room tickets only. Could not find anyplace to actually see the field. We watched on one of the big screens outside! Left at half time and saw the fourth quarter on TV at home.

Dad's Detroit Tigers Jacket
On my recent trip to Arizona I noticed this in Dad's closet. I asked him to make sure no one threw out this jacket because I would want it some day. He said to go ahead and take it now, he didn't need it anymore. He did make me promise to wear it to a Texas Rangers game, which I did, even though I took some good natured heckling from some of the other Ranger fans.

Dad Celebrates 89th Birthday
I flew out to Arizona for my Dad's 89th Birthday. Yes, there are 89 candles on that cake. And yes, I lit them all! Word of warning... 89 burning candles get hot.

Paul McCartney at Cowboys Stadium
This was the first event I attended at the new Cowboys Stadium. I went with my daughter Carrie who paid for the tickets. The stadium is very impressive. Thanks Carrie!

Hiking on Ptarmigan Trail - Silverthorne, Colorado
View of Buffalo Mountain through the Aspens. The hike to the top of Ptarmigan Mountain is about 12 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 3,098 feet.

Caribbean Cruise: Stingray City, Grand Cayman
Took a boat out to this area, called "Stingray City" where you can swim with sting rays. Also visited the Turtle Farm.

Caribbean Cruise: Jamacia
The first port of call was Montego Bay, Jamaica. We took a tour that included climbing the Dunns River Falls and a chairlift ride up Mystic Mountain. This photo is of the Ocho Rios Cruise Terminal as taken from the chairlift.
