Solar Eclipse

Today's eclipse was the first in the continental US since 1994. It was an annular eclipse due to the fact that the moon was further from the earth at the time of the eclipse and therefore did not complete cover the sun. Clouds started to obscure the sun about five minutes before the eclipse began, but eventually we were able to get a good look at it.
As you can see, the sun was only partially eclipsed before it set here. People in Lubbock were able to see it at it's maximum coverage. The next solar eclipse in Texas will not be until 2024.
