Blue Day

The Bluebonnets are looking good this spring. Pictured here are the flowers that come up every year in our front yard.

Green Day

We went for a drive today and I couldn't help but notice how green everything was. With the unseasonably warm weather and the rain everything has started growing. Spring is here! (and it's also St. Patrick's Day).

Dinner with Friends

Today was a day for wildlife, especially birds. In addition to this Blue Jay and Wood Pecker sharing a meal, there were Cardinals (seen eating with a squirrel) and Robins... lots of Robins.

Fort Worth

I've been contemplating this view of Fort Worth since I first rode the Trinity Trail which follows the river pictured here. I dismissed it as there are power lines in the view (look closely, I haven't Photoshopped them out). I have since noticed that the view from the Beech Street Bridge was pretty good. With the setting tonight I just had to stop as I passed by.

Happy New Year

This is the Homeless Christmas Tree. Standing alone and isolated near downtown Fort Worth, it is decorated to remind people of the plight of the homeless. For more information, Google "homeless Christmas Tree Fort Worth" and consider a donation to a homeless shelter in your city.

Colors of Thanksgiving

The trees behind our house have been more colorful this fall than usual. While past their peak now, they still have a lot of color. Happy Thanksgiving!
