Arrived here in Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam) at 7:30am. We took the train into Amsterdam and toured the Van Gogh museum. Then walked around town and ate lunch. Back at the airport we attempted to retrieve our carry-on bags from the locker we stored them in, but it would not open. Security opened it and found a note from Customs that they had found something suspicious. Customs came over and went through everything but found nothing. Wew!!! As I type this while waiting for our flight to Istanbul, we have been up for 27 straight hours. We will get to Istanbul about 1am, about 7 1/2 hours from now. Another hour and we should be at our hotel.
