Damascus: I Love This Town!

Inside a covered souk
Slept about 12 hours last night. Spent the day in the souks (markets) of the old city. Damascus is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world, dating back many thousands of years BC. In our exploration today we met many new friends and found several interesting shops: bakeries, nut shops, art galleries, cafes, etc.

We also saw the Ananias Church, which was originally the house of the man who met the Apostle Paul after his conversion from Saul of Tarsus. Saul's conversion occurred on Straight Street in the old town. We walked that street today too.

I love this town!
